I start by getting to know my clients. I have you complete a series of questionnaires and  assessments. Understanding where you’re coming from and what your goals are will help me design a program that will get you where you want to go. I want to know as much as possible so I can best help you. Were in this together.

What do your lives look like?

Who are you as a person?

What are your goals?

What are your biggest challenges?

How much do you know about nutrition?

How much of that can you do?

What are your limitations and do you have any injuries?

I make sure each client has a program that’s tailored to their own unique needs. That means I will assess your progress in the way that suits you. There is no abstract standard – we’re going to make the best ‘you’ possible.

What diverse needs might you have?

Anticipate, plan, strategize

Start simple and easy

Focus on internal measurements, rather that external “standards”

Scale it to suit your lifestyle needs

All these factors are a recipe for a sustainable, long-term change. Clients change by doing and experimenting. These days, there is a lot of emphases on setting goals and following a certain program to achieve those goals. For example, your goal is to lose 20 pounds so you have to follow a diet plan or some workout DVD.

How is that working for you?

Based on my experience and how I coach, success follows a different process.

First, you break down your goals into specific skills.

Next, you focus those skills through daily habits.

The formula pretty much looks like this:

Practice daily to build skills.

Build skills to achieve goals.

Growth and development come through daily habit and having a supportive coach. Instead of a meal plan to follow, which is a quick fix solution that never really address the core problem, the habit-based approach is progressive and helps clients build transferable skills while stair-stepping their way to real change.

My nutrition coaching is a program that uses a client-centered, habit-based approach to help clients lose fat, gain strength and improve their health. I increase clients self awareness, self-knowledge, make better decisions and draw conclusions.  People do their best when they have a strong supportive relationship with their coach or mentor.

With my client centered coaching approach I give:

Guidance and support

Strategies to get though roadblocks and setbacks

Help with problem solving and goal setting
